My question is specifically about importing custom 3D assets into the Source engine, as I'm currently working on a HL2 singleplayer mod (in pre-production atm). Has anyone got any experience in importing models and textures with Hammer? Any tips or pointers?

One of the few things I know of 3d modeling is that the geometry needs to be all tris or all quads. but im seeing some models with mixed polys. Can someone explain me this? Im really confused.

I know some artists have been placing Greentooth in random places in video games. Personally I love it :) I've started this thread for people to place screen shots of where you found greentooth. I found this one today in Hitman:Absolution
