Yeah i've seen that thread and i'de like to get a site together of just the people from #md, and hell if im going to go through all that and try to figure out who of the people there frequent #md.
No doubt MD is a great soft, most of studios nowadays uses MD, its becoming the part of pipeline, for major studios likes ND(Uncharted 4) , Konami (Metal gear soild 5) and many more.
you are comparing your MD viewport to a refined zbrush sculpt. If you can get most of the way with MD that is probably as good as you'll get. It is likely the artist spent a few hours (or days) finishing up in zbrush. you can do a bit of sculpting in MD using steam tool to expand or contract specific spots. But its a lot…
