I'm using a 4k map for the landscape and my detail textures are 1k. That Is probably too high but it's just one texture with four channels (RGBA). Each channel is used for one Landscape Layer.

Hello! Here's an environment I've been working on lately. Had a lot of fun making a landscape material for this scene! Trying to emulate Eoin O'Broin's infamous landscape mat. Getting closer!!! I'd love some feedback on this if anyone's got any!
Thanks! I used UE4's landscape sculpting tools to sculpt the terrain and texture it. For the blending, I just used "height blend" as the blending mode in the landscape material for the grass, and used a heightmap of the grass for the blending.
There was quite a few different landscapes that i toyed with. Especially due to the texture layout of the mp9 not wanting what i did to be possible with 100% accuracy. This was the latest landscape that was made, but it ended up not looking that nice on the weapon.
looks awesome, currently starting to get to look at udk landscapes myself with the Escape challenge, you did a great job. Did you use any outside apps for creating the landscape heighmap? worldmachine/terragen?
