Howdy folks, this is my first sculpt and I know it needs some work but if somebody could give me some tips for a beginner how to improve upon this sculpt. Right off the bat I can tell I need some ab work, and the a** looks a bit odd.... but I don't know what to do to fix it. thanks!
Tried to challenge myself by doing a speed sculpt, and did it within an hour. I have a bad tendency to spend more than the time required on a single sculpt, may it be hours, days or even weeks. Original concept by Thomas Mahon on Artstation : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Jxmyz Truer to the concept: Artstation link:…

Hi there What started out as a quick doodle with a friend during lunch break, soon became something I wanted to fully finish :) It's the first full character I've ever sculpted and also my third sculpt in total. Started out by making just a bust. Then went on and made the full body! I might add more details in the future,…
Hey everyone, I posted a WIP of this about a month ago, following advice from pmiller001 I tidied up the sculpt and tried to work more on focal point and make the material separations more apparent such as the water flowing around her. This is where the sculpt is at now. The idea is this is would be an asset on top of a…
So i looked around and couldn't find any answer to this. Following the "how to make terrains for games" thread, I created a terrain, went through world machine and now am trying to paint on it in Mudbox. I took my original Plane, subdivided it to the proper level (also tried it without subd'ing the plane) and then ran the…

Aside from using references while sculpting, you could make anatomy studies on the side (sketches), try to break down the body into primitive shapes and observe their proportions and relation to each other. Maybe check out a few anatomy for artists books/resources (Bammes…
This looks amazing! As it makes more sense then sculpting with a pen I can totally imagine that this will one day be the best way for sculpting. I wonder what the perfect input device for such sculpting then would look like. Btw, there is also already a device similar to the Hydra that simulates pressure, simulates the…
Hi, This is my first post, so hi everyone! This is my second attempt at a face sculpt, so any C&C is welcome. I'm tackling hair for the first time so that's still in it's rough stages, any tips on how best to approach it would be awesome. I'm still looking through tutorials on it and I will post updates on this sculpt as I…
its a pretty decent tutorial, however it does not cover a lot of what you see. For example it covers the construction of the base body mesh, and sculpting but does not cover the creation of the clothes just the sculpting of them, and a lot of the parts are just imported from maya like the knee pads etc so you never get to…
