So i looked around and couldn't find any answer to this.
Following the "how to make terrains for games" thread, I created a terrain, went through world machine and now am trying to paint on it in Mudbox.
I took my original Plane, subdivided it to the proper level (also tried it without subd'ing the plane) and then ran the sculpt from map function. As it finished i saw a little blueline run across the mesh and then disappear.
When i tried imported the texture from WM, to start painting it came out like this:
As you can see that top strip wont import (even went as far as to give me a red error when i imported the texture).
To make sure it wasn't just a problem with the the texture i tried painting on my own layer and also tried importing a layer with several different formats .tga .png .tif and all had the same issue. Also tried painting just the plane before i ran the sculpt from map function and i had no issues. So i know its gotta do with the sculpt from texture function.
Anyone have any advice?

mud needs a border around the uvs to bleed...
take a look at the mudbox plane and you will see the uvs are scaled down...
