Cool! The high poly is coming along really well. My only suggestion would be to think about the smaller details. That's where the model really comes to life. Adding stitching on the clothing, a belt buckle instead of a continuous strand of leather and so on. If he's a nobleman, maybe a heavy money pouch attached to that…
Here's some changes after @Brian "Panda" Choi's critiques. I studied my reference more closely with that helpful chart in mind, and yeah, I wasn't looking close enough. Just a little change makes a big difference, so I'll continue working on these areas, and probably find some other areas needing more attention to. Thanks.
yeah, if i had a head or something i should make mirrorred i would use smart object, nice shot! One thing that Photoshop could have is recognize tiling painting, like when you paint the brush outside it would paint the left side, like it would be continue from top-bottom and left-right
Heheh - thats really cool - love the exagerated proportions on the upper half. However the lower half should be equally exagerated to keep some sense of balance and continuity I think. At least give him some bigger and wider feet to stop him from looking as if its going to tip over. At the moment it all sort of tapers down…
If you've got a laptop, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a gps system, I can strongly recommend MS Streets & Trips with the usb GPS add-on. I used it on my west coast road trip, and have continued to use it around the bay area for general navigation. The voice directions for the system works really well too.
Actually, there is a scam that "contractors" run on home owners. They start a job and then quit showing up half-way through and continue to bill the home owner. The home owner refuses to pay and the contractor puts a lien against their house. Kind of off topic but this whole thread with all of its analogies has been pretty…
Hi there! That's a really good feedback, a friend of mine suggested me to have some colorful element to pop out a bit indeed, I was thinking about opening up one of these window and hangout some fabric, but some tools like you suggest might be good as well I definitely have to try. For the roughness and the saturation,…
Hi! I want to imbed some sphere into another mesh. Problem is, that I can't really sculpt the transition in the holding mesh (active subtool), because the brushes are affected by the sphere-subtool. Switching on Transparency makes brushes ignore inactive subtools, but then the scene is hard to read. I will continue to look…

I recently finished the Cg Workshop : Modern Game Character Creation with Jonathan Rush (excellent class btw) I started my second game-res character (and also my second Zbrush Project) and thought I'd share my progress here as I continue to figure stuff out along the way ;) It's supposed to be Red Robin from the Batman…
