Re: My artsy contribution to Yaga, a small action RPG
I post a lot of enemy concepts, but this time I have some human NPCs to show. They are made of modular pieces, easy to combine and make use of the same animations. A lot of the other human NPCs have the same type of structure but with even more pieces, and I'll be posting those pretty soon as well. -

Ged, Guildwars 2 is actually one of the least complicated mmo's I have played that isnt targeting children. For combat, its not a game that plays itself for you... no more so than a first person shoot dodges and runs towards enemies without you controlling it. You actually have to play it a bit like an action game... swing… -

Ooh, nice tip. Any advice on the polycount (hehe, no pun intended)? Maybe I'm overthinking and can afford 1500+ meshes for the main character and bosses/major NPCs right? I'm thinking I'll stick to -1500 meshes for simple enemies and NPCs and whatever will be on screen the most in gameplay. low poly is fun, but also hard… -

TFT central has some pretty good indepth reviews on monitors. S-PVA is the kind of panel you should probably be looking at if your viewing angels are important. I think 24in gives you the best pixel per inch ratio at the moment (for the price) If money isn't an issue then NEC make reference monitors. Review here comparing… -
