Hey all, long time lurker here. Recently got myself a shiny new radeon Vega 64 8gb, using latest drivers and Im getting that old glitch that used to sometimes happen where your UV mapping tool would practically lock up and lag trying to do the most basic of things. And as you know UV mapping is a pain even when you know…
Hey Everyone! I am happy to announce my 4 Channel Detail Normal Map shader for Marmoset Toolbag 3 has been released! You can find the link to the shader on Gumroad here https://gumroad.com/l/marmoset_detailnormal . The downloadable zip contains ashader extension allowing for up to 4 detail normal textures masked with a…
Updated the skin shader, I'm refining the cape and the rest of the model some more before I rig everything up and start posing. The picture is a bit of a comparison between between the older PowerGirl and the newer one I made. I messed up the Suit earlier as you could see in the older pictures, but I fixed the shader for…
Nice work! I just think her face is too clean and she looks too young. On the concept the witch looks older... like she's a bit more then middle age and try to looks better using her dark magic. I think it'd be better to make her skin a bit older and with cooler colors. In any way good work and I'm looking forward to see…
I've discovered one thing I did forget to do with my Photoshop file - I didn't enable my ID (maps) folder. Having that overlayed as helped with its overall look, but I'm still not having much luck with the specularity. I did try adding a Noise filter in Photoshop, but it could barely be seen to be worth bothering with. :-\…
Hello, I am Callum Highfield. One of the two 3D Animators on this project. Whilst the character rig and mesh are being worked on I downloaded a rig from the internet and began experimenting with animation stylisation. One of our main character weapons is a rapier, so I researched into how it will move. Here is the most up…
I know this is a reeeally old thread, but I found it while trying to troubleshoot this problem myself, so I wanted to post here in case someone else encounters this issue. The problem described here seems to have been caused by corrupted maya preferences. Like the OP, I tried all the usual things: unlocking the normals;…
Keep it up! When you're doing your sculpt for the base heads, are you using Sculptris Pro? You may want to consider using a low resolution dynamesh to solidfy your forms before moving into higher subdivision levels. Another method that may help is to use the ZModeler to make simple shapes in a subtool folder and then…
@Ghogiel I tried to do the triangulation thing not worked, I even manually connected the verts to avoid this shading issue it was still same just artifact direction got changed in relation to where the new edges were on low poly. Based on that I am assuming I better add more geo support loops to control my low poly shading…
It's really fun seeing the progression in your works, learning what works and doesn't. There's a clear linear progression of the quality of your work. To me what I thought was the main problem with most your props was the the procedural feeling of all your textures but it seems like you've already managed to fix that with…
