I am happy to announce my 4 Channel Detail Normal Map shader for Marmoset Toolbag 3 has been released! You can find the link to the shader on Gumroad here
https://gumroad.com/l/marmoset_detailnormal . The downloadable zip contains ashader extension allowing for up to 4 detail normal textures masked with a RGBA texture mask to Toolbag 3 shaders.
Features:
- A texture used to mask associated detail normal maps, red, green, blue and alpha.
- Independent controls to scale the UV tiling of each detail normal channel.
Install Instructions:
- Download "detail_normal_rgba.zip" from Gumroad
- Unzip file to your "C:\Program Files\Marmoset\Toolbag 3\data\shader\mat\custom" folder
- Launch Toolbag 3
- Select a shader and scroll to the bottom section of the material attributes tab.
- Click the triangle on the right and select "Custom"
- Click the triangle next to "Shader" and select "detail_normal_rgba"

@radiancef0rge Quick question: If I don't need all 4 channels, but only some of them, are those unused channels going to be black (opaque) to prevent them to show up, in the "RGBA Detail Mask" texture?
But I guess I can tick those details normal maps off, or just leave those slots empty(?). But it still depends on the project where some of the channels will be unused.
