Day 16 Fantasy Sword [WIP] I wanted to try and create the blade part of the sword in Zbrush to practice hardsurface since I haven't tried that before. Top model is my attempt at creating the blade in Zbrush.
Here is a 'pre zbrush' hardsurface updated version of the arc cannon following the critique offered by @Pav3d. Any further critique would be greatly appreciated before I start the Zbrush part of my workflow, thank you.
A sphere is heading in the right direction. HardSurface modeling; how comfortable are you with Max modeling tools, and how knowledgeable are you at loops etc, maybe the project is too large to tackle if you want accurate, nice results ?
I agree with Orb with my eye going under the throne. Maybe if there was a cool light at the bottom, that should help not pull to that area. Also I am jelly of your hardsurface skills. Awesome work so far.
How do you guys have this set up? When I tried this with hardsurface modeling, vertex selections were a nightmare. Also doesn't your hand/fingers cramp up or get sore with long use?
Hey, polycounters ! This tutorial is about HardSurface Modeling in Blender 2.8. I'll explain to you my process and the tools I use showing the entire modeling of the Sci-Fi Gun almost 2 hours of work. I also share some free plugin and tricks for making a hole, smooth transition... This tutorial is recommended for a…
Hi all, I been working on Alien Landscape scene with some hardsurface stuff and some sequencer stuff too. I'm curious what you guys think. Hope to hear from you all about the project. https://vimeo.com/177912573

Basically I want something which has hardsurface stuff in it because I really like that kind of stuff. And I do like that one red and grey concept. I'm not sure if that one is…
Hey! I really like her face and your hardsurface work. I think your materials need some more definition, especially on her legs and torso. Do you have a concept you're working from?
kinda the same here, i use 3dcoat for a lot of stuff tho, handpainted textures, tweaking lowpoly models, easy uving, retopo, rock formation shapes, and when I need to prototype hardsurface stuff is also good.
