Hi Dabou Master, - Actualy i'm looking for a "good" result/design between armor and fluid, i'm looking for a partial fluid+ a good armor design. So I think that the armor will be partially recover by fluid and splash. - For the recovering surface, i want to try something lighter like : right arm + splash fluid on back. Did…
Box Modeling of a late 16th century Italian full plate harness. Inspired by a survival on the MET, https://metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/22276?sortBy=Relevance&ft=1570+italian+armor&offset=0&rpp=20&pos=4 That helmet is a jousting armet, therefore I am taking as inspiration a field armet I found. The main focus is not…
Gamestop preorders gets you the Terminus armor and the M-90 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon, preorder from somewhere else and get the Inferno Armor. If you own Dragon Age you can register it to get Blood Dragon Armor. Consesus from fans over the special edition items in Dragon Age is that they are not uber powerful and better gear…
This will be my first post on polycount. I am a 3D artist with a couple of years of working experience in TVCs. Now I've migrated to Australia, got a PR and studying Advanced Diploma in Games Development. And the first game character I wish to build is a warrior. A Nordic Warrior. These are the concept art progresses I've…
The ornament work is amazingly clean! I remember using your Bloodborne fanart as a reference. Can I ask how did you do this part of the armor? Did you use boxmodelling, sculpted the eagle and the feathers as a different mesh and then tried to make them fit as close as posible to the amor?
Thanks TheDarkKnight, yea going pretty speedy, got a ton of other work to crack on with before i go back to uni, so i'm working on each thing pretty much all day everyday :P Another update, thigh armor and trousers folds roughed in. Need to design his boots still, so i havn't started the lower leg armour yet until i know…
I've been working on the armor in the last few days and after a few fails i think i've obtain a decent result...more amor to come in the next days. Edit: i've tweaked a few things on the specular so now the first image is updated and slightly different compared to the turntable gif
So i'm starting a thread just to get encouragement, advice and criticism as I go. I'm a massive fan of Darksiders and the art style is just freaking sweet. I haven't really done any full bodied sculpts before and have barely touched clothes and armor so this should be interesting. *Update. If i want to move on should i go…
I'm not a character artist so take what I say with a grain of salt. Overall I like the design of the head, but I find the final render very hard to read. Even if I force myself to analyse it, I've no idea what to look at. There's emissive light everywhere just for the sake of it and the head is quite lost in that big…
I think the key thing here is that when people think "chieftain" they think "experienced". And nothing says "experienced" better than a bunch of mementos and crap hanging off the character. Basically he should look like everywhere he went he picked up something and took it with him. You can see this going on in the concept…
