@Stevston, i dont think he needs to make such slopes on this mesh, as the mesh itself is sloped compared to the indets, so the rays will have a slight angle to them. As for the floating mesh, how about "just" making it a part of the sword itself? I'm rather impressed that you did that highpoly in 27 minutes, well done :o
Yeah s6 mentioned above you can use dot loop and dot ring http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1963799&postcount=27 Also thanks for answering those questions Amsterdam Hilton Hotel, I remember seeing that link a while back but never got round to trying it. Looking forward to the next part :)
Nice, thanks for the link, I really like Mashru's work. The first time I saw it and read that he had graduated in 2006, I was like "ah crap, he's the same age as me and hugely better!" so it's slightly reassuring to see he's 27... I have 4 years to try and catch up :)
27. Worked at TT Games for a few years on the LEGO games, now I'm a University lecturer. I'm pretty chill and happy, I definitely prefer teaching than being in industry, for now anyways. I mostly 3D model and draw in my free time, it's my life, but I also like cooking =P
Hard Mode 1024x768 playfield & resolution 1.48+ million 27+ minutes Hard mode used to be piss easy in older versions (almost got 8 million then, using keyboard only) but now it's just insane. This is the first time I broke 1 million. Key movement + Mouse aim with low sensitivity is working the best for me.
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/10/27/victory_salute/index_np.html like mark said, that was not anything recent has nothign to do with kerry, But i mena its so freaking horrible that a man would jokingly shoot a bird at someone!! why can't he do decent stuff, like fuck an intern or 2.
You've completely lost me on this. If your goal was to stand out from the crowd, you succeeded. But not in a positive way. I'd go back to the drawing board. Keep it simple. Light it like normal so we can see the 27 hours of hard work you put into this. Minus the pumpkin and odd Lantern face lighting on the wall.

So im looking at the macbook pro 17" with 16 gb of memory. but I was thinking of getting the imac 27" but gave it up because i would love the portability of a laptop. Just wondering how many polys a macbook pro with 16 gb memory be able to handle? my old imac can barely handle 1 million polys with 2gbs, any recommendations?
