Hey everyone, for my entry I'm going to do a witch doctor style ziggs skin from my own design :D These are some initial ideas, crits would be awesome to help me take the design further. :) latest:
Hi all! This is my first post on this forum, so not sure if that's the right category and format. But anyway, I am hoping this community is alive as it would be great to have some real feedback and interaction. I am a self taught artist with about a year of "experience". You can find some of my work on my art station, but…
Baked the normals and AO today in production quality, the AO took longer then expected due to some artifacts. Some final prep remaining before I start coloring. May do a initial UE5 test tomorrow.
Yes I'll give it a try with a lip and see if its any better. And yeah, I have pressed bake. Those initial comparison images are actually with the textures applied inside Maya. Thanks for the tip though.
Ok not sure if it helps, but I've added a video with the initial setup for a face. Unfortunately the screenrecorder crashed on session two, so there is only a screenshot demonstarting the mixing of parts wich are only defined by edge loops and subpatches
This was for a smaller project for my school called Foes and Friendlies -- had to do initial design concepts for characters and creatures. This was done during my internship at Disney Interactive and actually made it into the game, Disney Dream Treats!
You guys are definitely right. I was initially going for a windbreaker type material, but I don't think it achieves the final look I want to go for. I think something like these would be better suited?
Hey guys, here are some super rough initial frames. Didn't want to go to far in storyboards since the technical issues like camera lens and character scale play such a huge part on something this size.
It's just a scene he's using to test out the assets in engine and such. I'm sure when he starts laying everything out to fit his initial layout the assets won't be placed in awkward positions like that.
Dude, it worked! Thank you very much I'm going to edit the initial post with everything you taught me in case someone google's this in the future. I don't want others to lose sleep over this.
