To get the look of the Rage scene, one of the main things you need to do is play with post-process. It looks like they've reddened their shadows and midtones. Here's an example I whipped up using Color Balance in Photoshop, and you should be able to get similar results using the post process options in UDK (which I assume…
Hi Polycount, I've recently installed Substance Painter. I started watching the YouTube video tutorial series for it and I downloaded the project files to use but for some reason I can't open them :@ I also found that I don't have a samples folder or any of its content (which is used in the video tutorial series on…
I've been trying to practice my lighting but I feel like I'm just missing something... I'm using a HDRI and lumen but I feel like what I've done with the colours just isn't working and looks really amateur. I think the metallic character detracts from the scene, because it’s in a t-pose, which isn’t a visually interesting shape. The concept has a twisted pose that’s more evocative. You’ve also repeated the…
@dlver Fantastic question lol. One of my biggest challenges with this project is focus. I am a little all over the place. Honestly this should be broken into 2 different posts cause I do like where the forest exterior stuff is going. But yes the original idea with the tree cave is still the goal. So i understand the…
I've always wanted to create a horror scene or a scene that invokes an emotional response But I'm failing to under stand whats going on here. There is red on the floor which im assuming is blood but it is only on the floor and not on the walls or the sword or the other 2 objects right next to the sword which i have no idea…
Hey, I have created a tool called Ultra Modular Landscape with the aim to bring a fresh approach to landscape material creation and mountain sculpting in UE5. You no longer need to touch the master material when you want to add or remove landscape layers due to its modular nature. Not to mention it has all imaginable…
