hello! this is a girl I'm working on for a FPS here at uni. I'm going to be taking here into zbrush later on. But for now, here she is, at 3500 tris, and a knife that will have a separate mesh container at 114 tris. (knife is in a sheath on the back) The game is a sound based FPS called resonator, so that huge thing on her…
Thanks much for the compliments on the medic. :) kite, that's awesome! :D Funky Bunnies, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that. Bloody hilarious idea :D Started a new one for dummeh, a scavenger alien based on hobodactyl's rad concept. Still well under budget (114 tris), and need to mess with the proportions some so…
Im quite proud of these two, I made them with no photo resource. I retreived the normal map and AO from a High poly bake. Then I Blended the AO with various colours and stuff with photoshop to achive the diffuse. Pretty low res because these two and another one all share a 1024x They're 114 and 150 polygons Part of a much…
Tried v1.4. Problems remain. 111 Starting NDO from GUI crashes NDO and Suite. Executable started manually doesn't show. Can Switch To and press Alt+Space to move invisible window. 112 No materials listed. Base Wood selected on load, still inaccessible. 113 Inactive or broken menu. Highlights on mouseover though. 114…
The base movement is not bad, it just depends on what your going for. The movement seems very linear/robotic like. You might want to add some more smoothing. Although its a very abstract scene with a skeleton, so rigged/linear motion could work. I made a short film awhile ago that had some dancing skeletons as the credits…
$114 seems like a good price for a MOBO. The thing with the 2600 vs 2500 is, well maybe the 2600 gets you another year or more of use out of the computer? Thats probably worth the $100 IMO. Certainly the 2500 is a good CPU, but if the 2600 lets you hold off on your next upgrade for a year or two longer I think thats worth…

Yeesh, getting back to this took longer than I anticipated. Being sick the week before Easter while having a bunch of stuff to do in preparation for Easter makes for a bad time to practice textures So, for starters, I reworked the Hi-poly models a bit trying to get closer to the reference images. After fixing the Lows to…
@Beefaroni: Thanks. For these I started with a base color texture from the Pixar 128 https://community.renderman.pixar.com/article/114/library-pixar-one-twenty-eight.html I then took the base color into Bitmap2Material and tweaked values. then I sent the files into Substance Painter. 1) I feel so-so about the wood. 2) I…
