@Jeff Parrot Thanks mate, I've been a big fan of your work for years so it means a lot that you like my asset. Thank you for the advice too. Your completely right and I'm currently on repacking my UV's. I started using TexTools after unwrapping was taking way too much time. I guess I got carried away :D . As for the tops…
Thanks Mrfred, that's all very useful. Yeah in my case it's more of I placed a key on spine2 at the same place as spine1 and want to move it two frames but it moved the whole thing. In that case it was easier to load a previous save and just recreate the key at the righ place directly. :) I'm very keen on working with…
turistainc: thanks man Sebeuroc: thanks! Bee-Bee: Thank you very much for the feedback, greatly appreciate it. I agree with the chair, I have to go back on the chair and reduce the reflectivity and fix the spec map. Also thanks for the suggestion on the helmet spec map, I will take your advice and make that spec map…
@mrgesy: Sort of, im not the best concept artist but I would like to put a few days aside (maybe 30th and part of 31st when I get back from holiday) to do some half decent sketches. What I have at the minute is really loose and something I can follow but maybe make someone else confused.
@mrgesy Yeah the room is my next step but I'm having too much fun with the other assets lol. The human figure idea is good. And yeah I planned going all out with awesome materials.just making shapes now xD
Thank you MRGESY, I agree with the busy light/glare issue. I had to use a couple of point lights as fill lights and wasn't able to get their reflections not to show on the ground unfortunately. I'll see if there's a quick fix to it otherwise it's something I'll have to learn from.
Okay thanks Mr.Chadwick, Should I do anything special in 3DsMAX? I am currently creating the 3D models of the roads and applying them a texture of clean asphalt in 3DsMax.
It's based off of this concept: Good point about the poles coming out of the water. @ Mr.Cash Thanks, when I'm done there is going to be water stains, scuff marks, and bird shit everywhere. :)
Alex_Maxwell - The techniques I'll be using are next-gen and the character himself will fit in with next-gen style characters once he is finished. Hope this helps. mr_ace - thanks for the tip, I updated the image above. I like your portfolio, especially the detail you put into that captain america character! Update: I…
I've finally finished this! So much work and a real challenge but I've learned a lot! Much more on my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Lo1KR https://youtu.be/MraGMqEkpA4
