So when I pull in my obj file to dDo the uvs for the file are not being displayed properly on the model. The layout in the texture part are correct but when it displays it on the model it does not look right. This is coming from models that I make in 3ds Max I have not tried using one from Maya yet I think I will try later…
Really nice! I love the overall layout of the scene and all the details you added in for each of the props. Personally, one thing that I would change along with the moon rays suggestion is darkening the sky color outside to a more deeper blue for a bit extra contrast from the windows. Great work overall though!
If you went for some sort of invasive surgery would you want the surgeon to have 10 years experience as a people surgeon or 10 years experience as a horse surgeon? The basic layout of parts is the same, the principles are the same and the scalpel skills are obviously transferable but really, it's not quite the same when…
People have begun returning their games, based on the lies about BF3 control layout support: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065217449592766/ I'm curious if someone at DICE could shed some light on this, and why there is a flat out refusal to appease BF3 players, who wanted continue to support the…
Update: So thanks everyone I think I'm going to stick with this UV layout its practically the same as Jackablade's also thanks a lot jack. I will post a finished product unless I run into some trouble or would like to get some criticism. What do you guys think ? UV's
Hello, Thanks for the quick reply! I would like to ask you two more things if you don't mind... - How many renders are we allowed to turn-in? - If it's just one render, Should we do it like the example that Blizzard provides or more like an environment layout like yours?? Thanks man!
This is looking really nice. Has a LA Noire feel to it too. One thing that is distracting to me is the amount of those 'Reward' posters around. Seems a bit too repetitive. I'd suggest mixing those up a bit for the final piece, different colours, layouts, sizes etc :) Other than that, great work :D
Comet Rename. Essential IMO (other rename tools are available). http://coopdesign.org/aac/cometRename.mel And if you can actually find a working/compiled copy then Roadkill Pro (NOT the free version on the pullinshapes site, they are completely different). But its the best tool ive used for UV'ing much more efficient than…
I like the website layout, clear and good access. It clearly says you are a character modeler so I would leave out environment work, especially as it's not as strong as your character work. your 'drawings' gallery has Dino Dave from your characters section next to an 'under construction' sign. Should that be there?
I like the site layout. Simple and clean and considering you dont have much content this should do you for now. later if you add much more stuff you might have to break it up as it was suggested above. I also have to agree the specular is not really working too good atm :)
