Did you ever try using xNormals CUDA rendering function? My God, my normal map bake times went down very nicely! i don't know what that says about my CPU though...
The problem with that idea is that the way the drivers interact with the OS are different, so many developers aren't bothering with xp64 versus just Vista64 or not adding the full functionality (more money for that time to make the two different versions for a even smaller audience).
Err, Hawken? Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that the one that glows in the dark, making it rather unfit for military use? Not only that, but i remember reading it wasn't all that functional to begin with, allthough i can't remember what the flaw was.
In Substance Painter you can paint in 3D, so seams aren't much of an issue. It also works fantastically with Substance Designer in tandem, allowing you to create custom Substances that you could use exactly like how the Quixel Suite materials function.
Ok, I'll have to agree with you. I used to really like his work when I was a teen but now, I do admit it's designs are ridiculous. His character's looks have always been defined more on aesthitical look than functional...
Hey these vids are great, thanks David! Is there any chance you could do a marvelous designer vid with some info on the new OBJ to Garment function? Still learning it but would like the option to use an OBJ and modify the material/folds if needed. Thanks :D
"Constraint Not Completed" is the generic fail message for AssignConstraintSelection() in controllerfunctions.ms. (It's in the 3ds Max install folder.) If you are comfortable with script you can modify the function to output more debug information. If not maybe you can share your file so we can dig into it.
Sweet! Small critique: The pilot will likely be exhausted from riding this vehicle for extended periods of time without something to rest their upper body on. Any way you can work in some functionality to the vehicle where there is a padded abdomen or chest plate for them to lean in to?
Are you opening your own project file by chance? I sometimes lose the Undo function after opening a project file. but if I restart Zbrush and start out with a default Pixologic project file, then load mine I don't have a problem with the Undo.
You might want to also double check that you don't have Edit Poly as a modifier (collapse the whole stack first). It has different hotkeys for some unknown reason so most standard Edit Poly hotkeys will have completely different functionality.
