i wana take part with the head of my clock set (collabo with rocket and andumy) that is kinda fitting into the halloween theme :) here is the sculpt texture test with very simply dummy masks color map the maskwork, gave it a soft metalic look with lots of noise in the specular for some fine light reflecting details. thats…
oups, not much updates from me for a while! 5 hr model. focus on learning the retop tool in 3dCoat. The polycount can probably be halved, and if wanting to animate, the eyes should be separated and the arms would need some reflow of the edges. but, just a fun little project to learn a new software.. ...... still wondering…
I had the Logitech G19.. Before that I had the original G15. I was easily sold on the flashy gimmicks. The backlit keys were nice, but I never used any of the functions keys or the LCD screens. So I "Downgraded" to just a basic sensible keyboard. I chose the apple keyboard/They keys are soft, and very responsive. Very good…
here's a better shot of what I was talking about, it's definetly the cubemap, it shows up when i plug it in. The normals on my model are totally averaged(soft) for normal baking purposes, that seems to be having some kind of effect on the cube map reflections. Hopefully that helps narrow things down a little, i really have…
His right hand could grab higher from the strap (from the "soft part") to make it feel more natural and cool. But other than that, great job! Something like this:…
Maybe make the scales bigger? theyll get lost as noise and will fit with his overall style more. Also id suggest bring the knees in a bit more, the s curve is getting a bit lost. Otherwise the armour is nice and solid, and the clothing has nice thickness. But the armour is looking a bit soft in places, some hPolish-ing…
It's been posted on some other threads recently but I think it will be extremely helpful to you to start thinking about the face in terms of its planes. The asaro head is a great reference for that. Think of it as a bunch of hard planes, at different angles, not just one giant soft bundle of meaningless features. Once you…
Oh my gosh I'm in love. The face update is SO amazing. I can't wait to see more! I do have a question, what material is the jacket? From the first picture I would say it's some type of soft light fabric, but the face update shows a more leather-like texture. Looks SO good though mgmhm.
You can get the same effect by using clay polish, it will mask out creases. So after mashing the clay polish button, invert mask and drop fill some white, or paint it in with a large soft brush where you want it. If you don't want to alter your mesh you can always save a morph target and switch to it afterwards.
what concepts are you using to model off of...since the drawings contradict each other, right now it seems like your doing a melding of the two, but a good start so far, my only thought right now is that the front and back modules (front and back tred areas) are a bit soft feeling but keep it up man, good start keep on…
