This is a model of an old revolver that I'm making for a stylized western game. It was modeled in Blender, and some of the high poly details (The design on the body, mainly) were done in Sculptris. 1068 tris. I'd definitely appreciate any critique, as I have another four weapon models to make for the game.

Is there a way to import directx (.x) files to 3ds max? I know it is as easy as pie to import directx (.x) files to blender, but so far I have only found exporter plugins to max? Anyone who knows a good import plugin? zelly

I was going to add some advice but neox seems to have nailed it. If you have to pick a DCC to learn I'd suggest Maya. The industry is not yet ready for Blender and Max simply doesn't have the coverage that Maya does.
