Daily Sketch #6: Gates - draft Front gates I see from my window. Patterns looks simple, but most of the time I was tweaking these curls to fit with each other. Render looks sloppy, but I'm not finding myself too productive and creative today. .
Great idea, thanks for the invite. Where else are good places for this? I feel that that is a big thing I have been missing out on since finishing Uni and not being in a studio environment; not being around that environment of peers where the creative energy and pressure to perform exists.
awesome guys. thanks heaps for the help. that script from creative crash is mint !! gonna have a play with the solution passerby posted in a bit cheers EDIT. ha. dumb bastard i am. posted before i checked that script on a NON SQUARE face. . . no joy
This is why I stayed making old school art, more time being creative rather than juggling layers and masks in photoshop, not really knowing what the end result will be until it's in engine. I'll gladly work on a AAA game if this automated pipeline becomes the norm!
Reminds me of the demon from Quake. Quite cool. I noticed you made the sketch version of the hat guy then a painted version, now a sketch version of a fiend... what could you be up to? So many creative possibilities. Still loving the messy NPR.
I'm in for wishing all you PC'ers a very merry to you and yours and best wishes for a sucessful and creative new year! Although I'm not much of a contributer, I'm glad to have found freinds among you all ...you are my friends, right? Be safe and be well!
Thanks man. As I progressed through the project there were a lot of I things I found I could get creative with since the concept didn't offer a ton of detail in some areas. Thanks for pointing out the icicles too I definitely agree, I'll get on that!
@Jeff Parrott You've given me lots to think about, In short I enjoy Environments & Hand Painting the most, it lets me be creative with what I do and doesn't constrain me. I think I will continue to aim for Environments & Hand Painted Props at this point.
No specific suggestions, but I wrote up some guidelines for a good domain name that could be used as helpful creative constraints in finding a good name. Here's the link: http://www.jonjones.com/2011/11/17/artist-tip-first-impressions-matter-buy-a-domain-and-email-from-there/
Yeah. The Last of Us looks really good and the character meshes were pretty dense for 2005 hardware but it handles it. Better lighting, animation and higher texture packs is really nice. Do you guys think there's anything that might happen creatively game mechanics/design wise?
