Try to freeze only the scale transform. There's a bug in maya 2018 prior to 2018.4 that modify the direction of your transform on objects with non uniform scale.
I may not have the time to modify the rear rims but thanks for reminding spahr :) It's still not drivable but I think it's near the final exterior look :)
Thank you for the feedback, i ll have a look and modify eveything that you have mentioned, the only exeption being the shape of the head, it's just the way i wanted it to be , was just experimenting with rounded hard surfaces and i think the actual sirfaces turned out pretty good
Please explain to me how the fur is created in these screenshots. It can be seen that the fur was created technically (with modifiers, perhaps), but the specific approach is not clear to me. Could you explain everything step by step?
this can be done with the projection modifier. you apply it to your mesh with the source UVs, apply the the cage to fully encase the target object. create a projection mapping and project
