A sketchbook is also useful if one has long, BORING chemistry lectures. t4paN, drawing digitally is very fun, and leaves lots of room to experiment with, but don't talk smack about plain old pen/pencil sketches.
I have a COmpaq tc4200, and I dig it, but yeah it's limit is 1024x768 and it's a 12 inch screen, but it works pretty well. It's good for sketching and all, but I kind of get tired clicking on everything and convertible mode with no keyboard....
Barring any additional rendering/changes/adjustments, I'm going to call this done and useable for beginning my Zbrush sculpt sketch and base mesh construction. @Snader: I'm keeping the smokestacks. I need the engineer imagery!!!
Thanks Dinh! I think I´m gonna do a more elaborate exploration of that urban rebel-theme actually. Here´s a quick sketch before bed time, a lonely oilrig on a far distant planet:
It's most commonly known as "halftone". Photoshop actually has a half-decent halftone filter (though the dots turn square as you bump the dot size up). You'll find it under Filters->Sketch->Halftone Pattern..
Great little app, and perfect for sketching... But am I the only one who can't get a clean production quality sculpt out of it? Every time I subdivide, little pimples appear all over the mesh.
Sketchbook! I have neglected you. I haven't sketched in a long time. Every time I do I wonder why I don't do it more. It is fun! Going to try to do it every day.
aah I think its the mid section of the body that is too short and thin, his limbs seem quite long in comparison, good work so far...it is like the concept sketch though if you keep these proportions
I know that this is not a sketch, but I'm feeling that my 3D art goes nowhere so here's a piece of a fanart illustration I made. I don't want to make a new topic so I dump it here.
Yes, you're right, the proportions and stance don't give it a stable center point, could have worked more on that issue but i guess i wanted a little bit more likeness to the original sketch. thanks btw.
