Currently got a good base mesh and basic armour in place. Will be working on more skin tone designs and customisation textures based on some RGB masking shaders for in-game use.

Your Orc and Crossbow are getting there. MORE HIGH RES!! And there is also a sort of grain in your turnaround renders. If its only on my computer ignore me. But If it's on everyone's I'd check it out.
I'd have to say Uwe Boll's "In the Name of the King" was a better movie than transformers. At least an orc put himself into a catapult and let his buddies light him on fire in that movie.
Sorry, I thought it would go without saying that we would try to not make it crappy. Saying orcs are generic is like saying zombies are generic. . . of course it all depends on the execution.
RTS Warcraft 3, Starcraft if you somehow managed to miss these. Warhammer Dawn of War. Freaking orcs with sci fi what more can you ask. Command and Conquer 3
Update Mostly been working in some more details especially getting down the face of this orc character. Just need to translate the definition over the rest of the body now and detailing on the props.
