Some progress on making the foliage/tree assets, still need to finish the texture of the trunk :) Rendered with Eevee (Blender real-time engine). One concern though is that when I import the assets in Unity it does not look very good. I should have spent less time playing with Eevee and more time learning how to do good…
I am just asking ut of curiosity , why do you think Bethesda Games Studios sticks with their Creation engine rather than move to something that seems better in graphics and else like Unreal or Unity ? What it has that Unreal or Unity cannot do or cannot reproduce well? I am wondering if the fact that in a game like Skyrim…
Yes, I am using the right click menu. Just to clarify, this is purely about 3Do, which happens to use the unity tangentspace (whether the renderer is actually unity I don't know) I'd like to add for anyone with the same workflow: You need to triple (=triangulate) the mesh in modo, or otherwise the exporter (or 3Do's…
Hello! I am interested in your project. I am familiar with 3d max, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance painter, Unity engine. I have complete understanding of game art production pipelines and experince with creating games on Unity. Feel free to ask me questions. Here is link on my…
Woa, such a fan of the game myself. Been playing it for the last 2 days straight. Not getting tired of it ! You did something special there :) Didn't know this was done in Unity. Any chance that you can share some of the environment wireframes/textures in here ? And/or some information on the lighting setup within unity ?…
This is pretty awesome. Any way you could transfer this to Unity or UE though? I feel like that would almost be more useful. Then you could set up prefabs for the pieces and change them very easily. Also there are some asset store stuff you could use for both Unity and UE for decent prices. Pretty awesome tool though! :)
Thank you guys so much for your help and support on this! yes I tried using Shadow softener it didn't make a whole lot of a difference but it did definitely try and soften the shadows. The support team for that unity asset are incredibly friendly and helpful! Moving on, as soon as I got Unity pro everything sorted itself…
If you are brave enough, you can go with Houdini Indie (200$ for year) https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=244&Itemid=399 which contains plugin for Unity https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2739&Itemid=381 that allows to create tools that you can use…
Here's a rough blockout I did tonight in Unity 5 Had a quick look at Unreal 4 earlier and I might look at it again tomorrow with some tutorials, though I may also decide to switch over to Unity. I use it at work anyway and would like to learn how to use decals and some other new features. It is pretty cute.
There's an amazing amount of info in this thread, so I bet this won't add much, but it can't hurt either I guess: http://robo-minion.com/how-to-particle-fx/ You could see that as a short introduction to the new Unity particle editor. Some people have had trouble getting started with it, so if you choose to practice in…
