I like to work True Rez for personal stuff, but everything I've done professionally has been double-sized as a "just in case we need it later" instruction. Except the film stuff, they almost always stay 8k (which my comp does not care for at all).
not to sound too harsh, but due to some certain work culture, did he work himself to death, I remember years ago, a Sega head guy died on duty as well, you can hardly see anything like this happens in western company except Jobs.
Well that just looks fantastic, except for the pug. The completely different art style is really throwing me off there, why a cartoony comic book like character that's the only thing with an ink black outline in an otherwise sharper and more textured world? Really stunning environments though!
Everything seems to have the same "texture" to it. The metal looks just like the leather, except one is brown and the other gray. Try to really study the difference between materials and how they look. Also, your colors seem very drab and are not really doing your model justice.
The new designs look nice, except for the elites... they only ever looked really good in Halo: CE. :P Yeah, they are probably stationed there, in a very remote area, and aren't aware that the Covenant has fallen apart. For all they know, they're still thinking of embarking on the Great Journey
@Zi0 : Thanks a lot Man, very grateful for the time it took you to do that! I will definitely do those adjustments, except the number 3. The gun in your reference is an AK-74s. Although they are very similar, there are some remarkable differences, your numer 3 is one of those :)
usually I planar map the whole mesh so's I know where everything is, mark my seams and then use quick peel with the expand selection to seams button. it's pretty much just a case of relaxing and packing after that (except on ears etc. which are complete gits).
I was gonna swamp you with suggestions, but I thought you meant a SCROLLING shooter. I have nothing to really add with Robotron styled things except uhh... maybe look at Neo Contra? Or Super C and Contra 3 if you want a good place to start.
So is it just a point-to-point RTS? Sounds like missions are going to be all the same if the premise is that you fight over old shipwrecks. Also I agree with Muzz, with the exception being a few of those top-down shots which look like beautiful satellite photos.
Dude that is awesome and I wish I could make it except I'm on the other side of the country. I really enjoy being on panels and volunteer any chance I get. Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Hopefully it will be recording and can watch it somehow later.
