Little sample of UE4's output, took a few seconds to render. With UE4 you also have APEX cloth plus FX tools, Sequencer can output separate passes for final compositing. You can really jazz up your animations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEAgB92kYVM
This will be a cool project, Sculpting is a lot of fun. From my experiences I recommend additive for organic shapes and subtractive processes for machine made objects such as his armor. Don't be afraid to really mass him up with clay then get in a break it away with your tools. Can't wait to see more. =D
i used to have to press compact mem before saving my tools, everytime >_< now doing that in 3.5 just makes things go super slow :P Chair turned out really cool... at least you can get more practice in by doing it over again from scratch :)
Well the courses rely heavily on your own dedication. It's up to you how good you get, they provide the tools, network and knowledge. You get to use their new cool rigs and models, so that you can focus purely on Animation without worrying about 3d-modeling etc etc.
Awesome spark! The stitched troll thing looks like it has bone weapons coming out if his back. I was thinking it would be cool to have a monster that grows it's own weapons/tools hehe. I've been working on a drawing for my bro for Christmas. been doing som character sketches:
Oh man this looks great! Pity I've gone to the dark side and use Maya at work now. You've got a tonne of cool scripts that would be great in Maya to improve the under-developed modelling tools - are you going to continue to focus on Max or is there any chance of Maya ports of some of these ever?
I recommend using ureal engine for you real time renders. It sucks having to setup your shaders again but its the best free real time render. Also you get the added benefit of learning UE and putting it in your tool box. Another option would be Iray renders in Substance painter (but thats not free)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Someone asked me via Email about how I made my textures so I thought I'd update this thread with a little bit of info to share with everyone else. The textures are really nothing fancy. To begin with I made a base mud layer with some alphas. Then I grabbed a texture, say one with leaves…
@James Ordner Thanks for replying. I have been using the Maya version of hotkeys in the input section of the user preferences window and it seems it has a clash with some of the tools and I am using a manual that contains hotkey reference to the default Blender settings. So after reading ur reply,I switched to Blender…
