Work in progress. Trying to do a whole scene using as few textures as possible. With the exception of the hologram on the console and the front of the...cell...thing, the whole scene was done with two tiling 1024x1024 textures, with spec, normals, and emmisive maps. I know it's not done quite yet, but still looking for new…
Hello everybody, Infinity Ward is looking to hire someone of exceptional talent for our character art team! The description is in the link. If you do apply, please PM me personally as well. http://activision.jibeapply.com/infinityward/jobs/ART0000XB/Woodland-Hills-California-Senior-Character-Artist-Infinity-Ward?lang=en-US
Not properly named. When you have a highpoly mesh tagged, you need a lowpoly with the same name except the _tag, -tag, .tag or whatever. It's not needed the lowpoly is tagged with _low, but the base name has to be equal for every high you have, which basically defines a different set.
I think that everythign you do in cg is ok (except stealing). Everytime you 'cheat' you just loose opportunity to become better artist. One day you might need those skills you might have learned during creation of your own basemesh.
well the impression I got from the initial trailer was more like a remake of the Evil Dead (semi-serious pt1, not laugh-a-minute pt2). but then all the crazy twist stuff starts and I just didn't know what to think except that trusting in Joss is usually a safe bet.
While my workmates were at lunch I modded the TF2 files for everyone on our floor except my team. Then my team and I scout rushed them with the following.... Much hilarity ensued. :D [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFoWccK3GjM&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
3DS Clean has one such script...forgot which one, but I remember installing it and it worked like charm (except when creating rigs, even those were grey with black wireframes). EDIT: Found it: Automatrix http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=969473&postcount=114
You can Paint normal/bump/height information directly to the model in Substance Painter. Just add a layer, turn off all channels except height, use alphas to add positive/negative detail. This data will be added to your original NM when your export maps.
I dunno, I find his adonis belt too small, his abs kinda freaky, and his pecs kinda weird, with bulging sides and a very flat surface. If we're talking bodybuilders, I think Frank Zane was almost perfect (except for his abs, but whatever)
Hmm, Doesn't seem to be working even when making sure Suite.exe is closed in the task manager. When I click NDO it opens instantly, but clicking DDO nothing happens except for a window showing up in the task manager called "Thinking..." which nothing ends up happening.
