I've learned a few new tricks in sub-D and now i'm working on taking my first low-mid poly handgun model and crafting it into a high poly piece. Here are some screens of the more simple pieces i've completed so far in sub-d, a couple shots of the original model, and a reference pic.

Hi every one! My name is Diego and I'm from Mexico and this is my first post in this amazing forum!! :D This prop has 2580 tris and 2048x2048 textures (without the base ground) and I used for this one 3D's Max, Photoshop, Crazy Bump and nDo2. The screenshots are taked from cryengine 3. Thanks in advanced for any feedback…
you know ironically I made a TON of rocks recently if your going for some BIG chunk rocks in a setting of either a FPS mode OR in a Dungeon crawler setting where I did both my work flow was rather simple 1-MAx, Make a basic Sub D box 2-import box into zbrush (assuming your using 3.5r3) 3- Get some intresting shapes on it…
Needs much more geometry, not only support loops, to have a good final sub-d result. Also, add thickness to see a better result as well, since it's just a plane, and doesn't have any volume to sub-d off of.
*GOal 1: Own my own country. *GOal 2: Work at Valve AND Blizzard as an awesome animator, im sure its achievable if I get better. ;D Might have to sacrifice some babies at some point but it is doable ;D

Amazing! Big thanks for documenting your pipeline as it's what allows novice artists like myself to become familiar with the D&D process as well as how the many software technologies are used together to achieve the the most detailed, final piece :o
