1.7.3 , it seems to be getting faster after the new materials load the very first time . It also seems like some materials are problems, I took a handful out and only kept metal concrete and wood and Its much faster now. Am I only suppose to drop them in the folder when using them ?
Eric, Yes the suite is installed in the default directory. Yes the project was in a directory with an & in the name. I moved the folder to the root of my D: drive but this doesn't solve the problem. I don't know if it happens to all projects as this is the first project I have made. Throwing everything away however and…
That is correct. I decided having two windows to work with was too much of a hassle so I merged the materialCenter into materialList. If you still have a version that is asking for the materialCenter.mel, download the latest version above. If you did that and you are still for some reason getting materialCenter errors, try…
Amazing stuff dude and not sure what it could be if isn't the resolution assigned to the lightmap uvs :S maybe light bounce settings in lightmass? No idea how I'd even start fiddling with those settings though. In any case, saving this thread and some of the pics so far to the inspiration folder, keep up the great work :)
No, but we can add color picker plugin into photoshop; like The photoshop sdk works like this : -You can only create plugin you add into the adequate folder. like : filter, color picker, file format,... -Each plugin has to stay on top ( you cannot do anything else in photoshop until the plugin is closed )
i've always used actions for borders, resizing, and playing with channels when i have a folder full of images and don't want to remember the same settings over and over. also handy for creating quick effects like fire, metal, and snow...and animations. i think the version i use now has something called droplets.
I wouldn't mind moving my existing page community wise. Also i got some folders with lot's of highres photo refs/textures I made floors, walls, cement, buildings, a boat and a sub(on dry land), wood ect. If you have any interest in email me i'd be happy to share them.
nkurence, I had the same problem with Windows 7 (it didn't say anything about permissions, but refused to create the folders or install any files inside them), but fixed it by right-clicking on the Extension Manager .exe and selecting "Run as administrator". Apparently that gives it permission to put stuff into Program…
I'm pretty sure if you save your UI as the start up or default UI it will remember this. You can also save any max file as maxstart.max in your scenes folder and it will load it each time max loads. I don't have a copy of max in front of me at the moment otherwise I would be more specific.
Pretty awesome stuff, i always liked that one big ass tractor thing you did. Im gonna have to back up the simplified folder. The see if u can have something where the main focus is your art work. Description should be fine, but let your work and layout sheets speak for themselves.
