Hey everyone! This year I made a resolution to try to animate outside of work, so I'm starting with going through Animator Island's 51 Great Animation Exercises to Master. http://www.animatorisland.com/51-great-animation-exercises-to-master/ I just started yesterday, so there's not a whole lot to see just yet but I've made…
WOW! holy crap. so i figured it out. the reason my magic wand selection was not working (with anti-aliased or not) was because of my eyedropper tool settings. i had my sample size set to 51 by 51 average (from when i was doing color samples) and apparently that effects the samples that the magic wand selects also.. well…

I just stumbled into a bug, as soon as a DM with someone hits 51 messages, only the 51st message and onwards will appear. All the old messages are unviewable! I submitted a bug report, we'll see if they can fix this.

Hi Polycount, I forgot to actually post this. It's my entry for the Artstation Feudal Japan Challenge and I thought it'd be nice to share it here with you fine folk ^^ I spent a bit less time on this one compared to the previous challenge, with a focus on messing about with vegetation and a very, very green scene. Part of…
Some beautiful machines there, and some down right ugly ones :) . I guess it's true that beauty's in the eye of the beholder. I totally forgot about the Tomcat F14 and I'm loving that F16 and Corsair F4 too. I was initially going to go for the classic Spitfire. Like you say Gilgamesh, lovely curves. Here are some of the…
Try something like this: Feeding the bevel node low-res shapes can have rough results. You can feed it bigger shapes, or upscale your small shape before beveling. Then return to normal res afterwards. I used a levels node to change the output size. You can use any cheap node that doesn't alter your shape. Looking at the…
