It's been a while since I posted in here but I started working on some new things and thought I'd put them in this forum. I have a folder full of pictures of doors and this one just seemed really neat. Modeled the door in Modo and sculpted the lion head for the knocker in Zbrush I'll post more updates on this soon :)
I can do that. Would you need the images as well or just the substance file? The reason i ask is because I'm afraid all the links will break. They all exist in the same folder but I'm not sure if substance uses relative filepaths or just links using the full path (C : \Users\SpiffyDee\Desktop\Mailbox).
That's looking awesome, straight into my inspiration folder.. Can't wait to see more. Only the hands stick out to me, not exactly sure why. Maybe they feel to much like just gloves rather than a mech hand? But then maybe that's just personal taste. Really awesome looking, I'm interested in the sketches too :D
Dude, glenn that suit came out SO much better than my paintover. You really took that guy up about 4353464 levels more than the last time i saw it. damn good job man. i want to model him so bad!!! putting him in my "things to model" folder.

i couldn't really understand or reproduce your problem. but if it's rellay a big problem i would backup your prefs folder under "mysettings"(then you can revet anytime), and then delete it. this makes your maya go back into the "install" settings. at least maya works the old way and the problem you stated should be gone.
For Hero Academy we did as Odium suggested. I created a MaxScript that could import a folder of images as planes. Wow this is greaT! LOL this inspired me to try a model. im not posting it until i think yall wont laugh but heres a hiint about who it is...its called Project Hale...Yup. Thats what the folder on my desktop says. (the engineer looks like the crack explosives guy from Atlantis the lost empire movie.)
I'd say try to keep everything in one location, I don't know about this issue but I just click the X and It asks me if I want to save my packages, or if I didn't save them already, I always click yes. Good luck though. By one location I mean one folder.
What do you mean "export those maps" ... Are they procedurals? Do you need to bake them down to a texture? Are they bitmap files? Do you just need them to be saved out to a common folder? I don't really understand what you mean. Can you illustrate with a screenshot of what you want to do?
