Eric hi Only tested with a siimple one from ZB I will try with opne from 3ds max (My main app) (Obviously an OBJ) EDIT: Exported a cylinder from 3ds max - converted to an editable mesh and imported as mesh into DDO - nothing happens - I still see the default sphere :-( NIR
Try using the crease tool located in edit mesh i believe. It should keep those edges hard in zbrush when u subdivide Edit: To be more specific, select the edges u want hard, click the crease tool then hold middle mouse and drag to increase the crease. Let go and its done
finally got round to testing and using the tools, really nice so far. My only gripe would be is there a way to save out a copy of the template when you bake out a .sbsar? It would be amazing to then have a permanent editable sbsar with your exported assets maps applied (could edit in Player etc).
Thanks a lot! That worked. I have no idea how I would've been able to make it look right without UV Map now. Here is the result: But now, how do I edit it? Say I need to apply ambient occlusion and edit the individual parts, how would I do that now?
Shader and Material editor are the same thing. You will have to use you're -Tools command to use it. Unfortunately Valve broke the tool to where you cannot save what you edit. Though you can use it to see real-time updates on what you plug, and edit in values to you're objects material.
If you want a pretty easy to use UV editor, download and install thus plugin https://www.highend3d.com/maya/script/nightshade-uv-editor-for-maya I like it a lot. Has layout and other frequently ussed editing tools in easy access. Also makes dealing with UV set editing much easier.
I'm correcting previous statement I posted here... Yes, this is the SPECiAL EDITION of Character Creator, not the lite version. This special edition is more powerful than lite version with the ability to export FBX and OBJ without having the 3DXchange license. For any concerns about the application for this special version…
Opened up my file again, and clicked "yes" on recovery save, it's saved a recovery version in ascii format, so i'll try edit it in the text editor like you suggested. EDIT: The ascii file didn't contain either of those lines, so i guess that doesnt work either in my case :/
this is retarded the games for 360, wii, pc, and ps3 are already completed. And you can already buy the special edition for 360 on Amazon. I wouldn't trust this article until an official press release. EDIT: looks like they are talking PAL regions only to be SONY exclusive. So that sux ass for all PAL regions :(
Some concept touch ups (wasn't feeling the honeycomb for now), mostly colour tweaks, as well as some blocking out. Not happy with the current look at the moment, but I'll work on it :] I think it looks bad because stylisation doesn't match, it should get better once the body gets merged down smoothed and stylised. Face…
