Seconded. In my case, however, I've left the 120 GB and added the 240 -- I've got the OS and whatever insists on keeping data in the user folders for the 120 GB drive, and programs installed to the 240 GB. The 120 GB drive filled up far too quickly.
would that work, he's using transfer maps, not doing a scene render so he prolly dosnt even need/ have a camera in scene. all bakes form maya include a alpha channel, so you could use that to quickly select the background and fill it with whilte
lol, quite a lot. 741,329 to be exact. it was a film asset used, and I don't have renderman on my pc, so I'd love to see if I can just quickly pop it into marmoset. I couldn't find any notes of limits or anything, so I'm asking.
Quickly knocking out a high poly table today Finally had a reason to use my welding brush ^^; http://alanmitchellart.blogspot.com/2013/03/welding-bead-brush.html DL here if you want I don't think I took it out of my dropbox yet.
Started makeing some Hearthstone Cardbacks for fun. Going for Naxxramas and Undercity vibes. 3 of these are based on UBRS, top left is just kind of a doodle. After doing this in Photoshop I realized I could use the radial symmetry in Zbrush to quickly block out symmetrical designs.
Which is why i'm nutting my pants. Very eager to hear more gameplay details. I'm hoping there's an economy system like in counter strike and tons of customization upgrades sorta like mech warrior. This could quickly become my #1 looked forward to game!
Modeling's done, so I tried to tackle this piece that was worrying me the most for the texturing phase. Material needs some polish but I'm happy that I was able to find a solution so quickly, especially for the holographic-like ball in the center. What do you guys think?
I've resorted to just rebuilding both the high and low poly mesh quickly - it's fixed now. No idea what the problem was and it's pretty frustrating that I could have saved about two hours just by rebuilding it, but I suppose that's just how it is sometimes... Cheers anyway folks.
I can tell my thinking behinde this because I also work on sevral items at time. When I run out of ideas for one i start working on another and then back on previous one. Thanks to this I don't got bored to quickly and still improving.
I just wanted to update everyone quickly and say that the team is currently deliberating over who we ask to come on board. Based off the people who put their hands up in this thread, we should have 3 new European moderators on the team within the week.
