It's looking good. Why do you have so many edge loops on all of the cylinders but have barely any on the parts that go over the medic's shoulders though? The smaller cylinder shapes especially don't need that many edge loops. Also, are those extra loops on the underside of the shoulder pieces? I don't think those are… -

It's not exactly perfect and its more of a feature of Autodesk Vault than anything else. If you don't have Vault enabled it will say status is "unknown" when the path is correct... or if its broken. So you can't really trust it for checking paths. But it works well for changing a lot of paths quickly. There also is a bug… -

18: getModifier will give you the actual state of the shift/ctrl/alt/capslock keys, not if there was a keystroke event earlier. If it is what you are looking for, then just like me you are pretty much stuck and will be forced to implement some sort of wrapper function with a loop somewhere looking for the change of state… -

you can use mentalray for render to texture, but i use it to render scenes. like i said game art is only part of what i do with max, i have been making more music videos latley so game specific enhancements are not as important to me as they use to be. i would take stability and speed over new features anyday and max 9… -

Welding UVs which are not connected Vertices
Hey guys, one of the things i use constantly for nice and straight UVs is welding UVpoints which are not connected vertices. A good example would be say the points between fingers on one side of the hand, or centerlines of pants etc. While you can do similar things with pinning in other apps. what pining doesnt do is relax…
