About the statues: Maybe just scrap the wireframes and instead show the renders you already have, in addition to a couple shots in-game. I remember those statues specifically in game, and I thought they looked pretty cool. Looking good I didn't know you worked on Stubbs!
Hey Robeomega, if the people demand it...then it shall be so! As for the wires, i'm not at work atm so don't have the file to hand, there is a wireframe on the third screenshot down on the left (quite faint though admittedly), but I could get a few more images tomorrow perhaps, if people are keen to see...
@ lampekap : I will do it when i have enough time :P. @ jungsig : I'm gonna start right now On something like that :P @ pior : sure I'll keep it in mind :) @ shiniku : sorry i forgot to upload a wireframe screenie cuz I was in a rush so here it is
Looks pretty nice! I'm working on a nearly identical S&W .357 right now and thought I would look around online to see what other people have made. How many tris are you at? Any chance we could see the wireframe/textures?
I'm not sure why this isn't getting more replies, this is awesome stuff. Can you post a wireframe or a faceted shot of the model without the normal map? What about shots of the actual high poly? You had better texture these guys, they look great. Pose them too.
Bigger pics + wireframes might help get you crits. One thing I can see now is that your edges are too sharp; they might not transfer too well into the normal map for your lowpoly. Check out the polycount wiki normal map page for more info on this.
Hi Alan I am a huge fan of your work. The only critique I would say to you about your work is that it just too dam good! :P Is there any chance we could have some wireframe's and if you have time a little break down?
Woweeeeee..sweet! Thanks for coming around to remind us how it's done, BoBo! Your texture packing is so incredibly tight that I'm getting a headache. Any chance we could see wireframes on the textures to show how the hell you got that stuff to fit together?? /jzero
Really quick update; stole some time at work to keep smoothing everything (slowly but deadly, i ll get this guy ready) Also decided to not actually make that hole in the Lowpoly and jsut bake it this way, since the cylinder (not smoothed yet so grey wireframe) will always be in that position :)
Here are both meshes with their wireframes and UV snap shots. I forgot that I was supposed to unwrap them both onto a single UV set, and remembered after I had already started texturing. Oops. I'm still working on the texture, but I wanted to drop another update.
