Hello , I wul dlike a suggestion on how to uvmap this tree ... wich one is the best way? I so far individuated 4 ways but I am not sure wich one would give me the best results .... 1st one is like making all into one texture , proportionally scaled texture uvmaps of the different parts like pieces of roots and trunks etc ,…
Here is the promised breakdown. I started with the sketch sculpt that I made in January. I sculpted this with a custom brush I made. A simple fur buildup brush that is smooth enough so I can do a whole sketch sculpt in SculptrisPro from a sphere with only that brush. (Thing is if it would be sharp detailed you quickly get…
Those huge ones that allow to load only a part at a time ? I wonder how big you go and what texel size you are using with them. And what method to create them do you use? Are they really that quick on modern hardware?
There are a lot of 6+ valence poles - which always sub-divide badly. There are N-gons and triangles - which are not necessarily bad(as they ultimately sub-divide to quads) but can often subdivide unpredictably. Little or no supporting loops/edgeflow control. This is part of a Sub-D car I built a few years back. You can…
I honestly do not get the rant about graphics either. Black Ops 2 (as well as the past few CoD games) still looks fucking beautiful. Are you expecting every new game that ships to be ahead of its time? I'm planning on picking it up fairly soon, but I spent a good part of today watching the whole campaign. Feel exhausted.…
Oh nice update there! I'm personally more a fan of the version without the cap on the back part. The highpoly seems to have some mesh smoothing problems there, but apart from that I think the cap would make the whole design to bulky and in your face. And it would end up blocking 1/4th of the screen if it were an fps ;) So…
Cool concept! The upper body looks about 2x as wide as it should be. I also think you need to think of the different parts of the armor and how they would be made in the real world. Scuplting in the cracks isn't really working atm. I would break each piece apart and really feel out the volume of the armor to give it depth.…
I Like this guy, a lot of the materials read well enough for me except the pants for some reason. I know they are faded it just feels like they should be popping more, perhaps taking some time to throw into the normal maps a detail map on the jeans to add a little bit more to them? I'd look at worn leather references also…
That's a fair assessment. It is immaterial from Nintendo's perspective, since most of those few games are published by them. And of course, the fact that they make a profit off of their hardware insures that they are making money even if NO games are purchased. (part of the reason why the Wii was such a huge success) And…
Awesome movie, Bond is back on track! The parkour section at the start was an excellent way to kick it into gear, and Daniel Craig was an awesome Bond. If only he looked a little more Bond-ish (IMHO Brosnan was the perfect look for Bond), but Craig acted the part very nicely. My main criticisms would be that the movie was…
