Thank you for your feedback. The environment is far from complete...You are right, in the first picture I have taken into account all the things you mentioned (rule of thirds, natural vignette etc). The second pic is because I need some feedback on the silhouette and texture of the tree. I have already some vfx for leaves…
I don't think counts as locked cameras. What are you lenses? Are you using an 80mm or a 30mm? Why? What are you focal points? What is the foreground/midground/background of every shot? If you going to just replicate the trailer shot by shot that's ok but then pick the shots and learn from them. There is a lot of very…
You want to be a prop artist? Get rid of everything except props. Then ask yourself, what are you really passionate about making. What sort of props really get you excited? I suspect it is not a red chair and a cabinet. Make something you're passionate about.
I see half of your site having character art, which you call props... Instead of having those separate, include them into an environment instead of showing them off stand-alone like that. Don't just call them props, use them as props. :\
There's always a larger need of props and environments in game when you look at it through a character to prop ratio. Your work is really good though man, keep pumping out good quality work, weather it be character, prop or environment. I think you'll do fine :) .
thanks:).These props are created to be two separate props; therefore there is no wound or blood. The spear should be able to be usable as a character's weapon as well. And the head should also be reusable in other places. Making this props limited to one purpose would be a waste of texture work and texture space. Game…

I'm following a concept art from halo 4 that i saw being used in halo4 Forward unto dawn and in some cinematic too. I think Halo have a Awesome world with a very peculiar Art's style,…
@DaveW Thanks for the link, this is gonna be helpful :) I am in the middle of modeling the props but I have a question regarding the textures : Should I start texturing the props as soon as I finish modeling them, or should I wait for all of my props to be modeled to texture them afterwards ?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I had to double check some props to see if they were uniquely unwrapped or if it was a tiling texture. But if you do tiling textures, and you have multiple materials on a prop, wouldn't the cost of those props go up because of using Multi-Sub Object materials?
Hello there! My name is Long, but people call me Long. I have been working on my first UDK map and here is the result. Well it's not finished yet. The stuff i have left are: -Dirtmap on the walls and the ground. -All the props have the same error, as you can see its like the corners are having some sort of shading error.…
