Blender does have a Remesh modifier with a Blocks option and using an icosphere might get more consistent results than an UVsphere (difference on the "north/south" poles and the other "axis poles"). To replicate the exact rasterization you might want to play with the scale factor of the modifier -

Well thats the problem though, if it can't pull off that test mesh well, it won't work for 90% of hard surface models. Hello. I want to add new weapon for heavy. I want to use animations from fists of steel. I decompiled those fist of steel and the only thing i got were fists without hands. If I put there my model and compile heavy doesn't have any fingers. -
