@Artquest Test it on the rainbow I posted and it should be pretty obvious. If it looks like a gradient ramp then it's treating every color the same which wouldn't happen if it is taking into account color luminance. Check out this for a better explanation: http://www.workwithcolor.com/color-luminance-2233.htm @Katana Not…
That's up to you, I suppose. Usually I think it's for modular texture sheet for customization. (changing gears' color without changing character's skin. or vice versa.) I don't know what loads faster in term of performance or taking up less space. 2 sheet of 1024x1024, or 1 sheet of 2048x2048. Oh, the voting thread for…
So I created this in about 15 minutes. A simple crate, cause been having issues with baking multiple objects onto a single object with the same geometry. I created a single side as I didn't feel like doing the same thing sixe times with worry about bleed on edges to the other sides of the crate, happens even when you use…
1: My experience has been that pay
increases rather dramatically with experience. It is certainly
possible to make a decent living as a games artist. This is a few
years out of date, but from what I have observed it's at least
ballpark accurate…
I think your overall shapes are working, i think like others have said working the colors more would help. Im interested to see what your new color variations are. Maybe you could take some insperation from the comic book version of roshan, http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/0/1081/2295850-page_31.jpg he has more…
The scenes on my folio are roughly comparable to the average scene you will find on ArtStation (which has a 15MB scene limit). My scenes are in the 5-22MB range. I posted some of them on AS too, can you try loading these and see if they load slower there: https://www.artstation.com/artist/earthquake Thanks

Thanks guys. Ok so I checked out Silo. First impressions were that the modeling tools are indeed very good, very fast and very intuitive. I was also pleasantly surprised by the UV tools, and those retopo tools are incredible! However, it crashed 5 times in the hour or so I used it, twice when I was mirroring something and…
You've got 4 loops above the shoulders that are pretty close together. That's what benji means. And I agree. I'd merge the middle 2 vertices, and spread out the outer 2 a bit to get a more consistent polygon size. I'd also remove the top 2 loops of the front knee, to make it less þ and more Y, like in real life and like…
