@thomasp Honestly you seem to have been pretty consistent with your mindset and not at all confusing ;) The three buttons seem to vary in consistency as Wacom isnt very consistent with how tough they are to press so I may just be very unlucky. The third button though is fantastic for a multi display setup as I have it…
Hi! Sure, you can swap/modify the low poly as you like - reminds of LODs - but be aware: As the normal maps' function is to compensate for the shading-difference between highpoly and the mesh that was baked to, the greater the shading-difference of shading of the mesh being used and the mesh that was originally baked to,…

I changed from Mac to PC two years ago and had the same concerns. Most of my software is multi platform (Modo, Substance, Mari, Nuke) so I could just download it for the appropriate platform. I get it if you're decorating your desk/cube with swag from previous titles you've worked on, but the whole "I have 50+ Amiibos and 20 obscure anime figurines on my…
A is by far the easiest, but may not be suitable if you need precise control over interior dimensions (ie: tile/grid based gameplay). You want this pivot to be as universal as possible so you can swap modular components on the fly, add pillars and trim pieces etc.
I think I'm leaning toward the floating alpha eyes now, because we're going to be adding skin texture swaps, and it'll be easiest if all that info is in one texture below. It'll be more expensive but I'll see how far I can get with cutout shaders. Thanks for tossing some ideas around. I haven't planned for a large scale…
Fundraiser page: http://www.indiegogo.com/BetterThings Trailer: http://vimeo.com/57112726 Not sure how much interest there is on here for documentaries about traditional artists, but I'll just put this up here. As far as I can tell, it's Jeff Jones' story told through conversations with his peers over the years...Rick…
