I feel for you, atleast it looks like you're doing a far better job than I when attempting a soft-bodied creature. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

Just a tiny thing: the tail...just before it connects to the body in the side profile, it seems to get smaller. I'm not sure that would happen...I think it's largest where it connects to the body (on most creatures)
[ QUOTE ] Kirin Shiro'ken? What are those... "things"? [/ QUOTE ] The Shiro'ken Monk is the beastie from Guild Wars. The Kirin (Or Qilin, depending on whether you're speaking Chinese or Japanese) is the mythological creature that he's based on.
You might want to post on zbrushcentral as well. Might get some answers faster there. Oh good GOd, just saw the creature you're working on. Keep that evil thing away from me!
Awesome work, really love the creature and the concepts. Look forward to seeing more. The environments look like they could use a bit more character, though. It all seems a bit sterile, with everything in it's place.
Spent a little time fleshing out how the creature will be articulated and what its range of movement needs to be. I want the thing looking functional and the design will be driven by that. And a quick parked-active anim test
That's a really cool idea! I think the face is fine but I would rethink the feet, it's weird for a bug like creature to have hooves :) maybe he has a double pair of legs that work in unison?
Wildstar pulls it off well. I can't get the images to load on their site, but they did a write up awhile ago titled WILDSTAR WEDNESDAY: FROM CONCEPT TO CREATURE that had images showing their process.
All of your work is incredibly inspirational haha. Your creature and character designs are pretty bad ass. makes me want to open up photoshop and go nuts. also.. love the l4d2 poster.
