Whoever invented this inventory system needs to be slapped in the fact with a pink rubber dildo... I NEED AMMO!!! *opens menu, selects ammo, selects give, closes sub menu, selects gun, selects equip, closes menu* DEAD.... Jesus...
You can do something lightweight with vanilla modifiers. Not as robust maybe, but still... Vol Select on the ball, using the hand mesh as the selection source, and have Soft Select enabled. Then add a modifier to deform the selection with, like a Push set to negative.
For ring selection, there's a few ways: a) Select edge, ctrl+rmb snap southwest, snap south. (convert to edge ring, convert to face selection) b) Select a whatever, then shift and double click on a neighbor whatever to get a ring or loop of whatevers.
Set the extrude tool's curve settings to "selected", and it should work as expected. "Edit>Save settings" in the extrude tool's window should save the option going forward.
Hello I have a problem, i want to get a selection of "outer edges" of any mesh (See picture below). Im using the CreaseSet modifier in 3ds max (2017) for this (with default settings). Its makes the selection of "outer edges" of the mesh easy as nothing. Im not aware of any other technique (maybe some plugin/script?) that…
Dear polycount community, I am currently experimenting with pushing an animated box over a plane. The ultimate goal would be to have all of the faces inside have a different material ID. For this I set up my plane as follows: (order is like in the max modifier panel) [Material ID] (<- set to 2) [Volume Select] (<- set to…
I find this quite annoying, I'll select a new layer, move something on that layer and then hit undo. Instead of just undoing the thing I moved it undoes that plus it takes me back to the previously selected layer. This is a bad feature, is there any way to turn this off so layer selection is recorded in the undo?
I thought this would be easy, but I was totally wrong. Is there a way to get a ring of faces in mel, I figured out how to get an edge ring, but not a face ring. Pickwalk can do it, but that requires the user to select two faces where I only want the user to have to select one.
Hi! I need to select multiple object vertices. They all share the same number of vertex, but the names are different. I guess it should be pretty straight forward short MEL script - select vtx nr 5 for all selected objects, but my MEL skills are non existing. Or maybe there's another way to do it? Thanks!
What I'd like to code is: With a rigged character If I select a specific joint. I'd like to run the script, which would return the selection of polygons influenced by that specific joint. (As if I manually went into face mode and started selecting the polygons one by one) Have no idea where to start on this one. Any ideas?
