Yeah, Clarisse clip map doesn't work with gradients. I am afraid nothing would probably. it could bake opacity of material but making lots of artifacts. And sorry , Octane seems having issues with that too or I forgot how I did it there already. In Modo I also did it for leaves so not sure how would it work with gradients -

@melviso Of course Mari has a node based workflow, which is extremely powerful; it may be expensive but it's worth it. I hope more other render engine shaders come to Mari like the Octane shader and RedShift among a few others; there is talk they are coming. As soon as I saw "intense", I was going to mention the Octane 101, which is basically an Everclear daquiri. But as soon as I saw non-alcoholic, I realized I got nothin'. Apparently I'm too tame.
