So I have been slowly tweaking this asset and here are the newest screen grabs. I have lowered the texture size to 512x512 and I have been optimizing the geo. The texture still needs work, but I'm watching a gnomon workshop on texturing right now to get better. I should have better grabs tonight. :)
as magic sugar said, might be useful if you want to work as trainer, for giving workshops and speeches, or outside film and games. If it's one of those "you have to renew it for a fuckton of dollars every year" scam-y things, I'd skip it. It just makes you look like you have no clue what to do with your money.
You can consider these alternatives until(and maybe after(that is, if legally possible)) you get a job as well: Unreal Marketplace, Dota 2/ Team Fortress 2 Workshop, Turbosquid etc. Just make your research and determine if the experience would be useful for you. If you can make money as well, that would be helpful too.
I don't have an actual answer, but I watched a Gnomon Workshop tutorial once that showed how to do this. I believe it was a basic texturing tutorial, Intro to Texturing with PS or something like that. However, you may be looking for something more involved. IIRC, the instructor just used the clone brush to hide the…
All right, updates have been slow recently. Moving out and stuff. Will probably be slow over the weekend too due to the Massive Black Workshop. Trying to build a set of MultiMesh brushes through this project. It's a bit of a slow process to align all the subtools, but I can see it paying off immensely down the road.
yea i've been laggin in posting WIP pics but here's my progress atm. I have most of the base meshes in zbrush ready to be detailed :) and i most likely will smoot hand resculpt the face because i did learn some new techniques at a recent naughty dog workshop that i plan to apply to this piece! :)
The thing I like about Polycount is that you learn from industry people here and you get a lot of help from these guys. Also you learn new tricks to become more efficient when working. Thanks to Polycount I've gotten a lot better seriously. Also participating in the workshops helped a lot too.
I think Rhythm & Hues did almost all of the CG for Narnia. I think Weta Workshop (their practical effects company) did the props. I really liked the Hobbit as a book much more than LOTR, so I would love to see a move, but I have no idea why they would go with another director.
Just say this about thirsty bear- thought it was pretty amusing http://sf.funcheap.com/organic-beer-tasting-workshop-thirsty-bear-financial-dist/ Should we set an official time? Maybe like 7? I don't know what a good time would be for everyone. Also - I wanted to bring attention to this thread…
I would change the lighting so there is a nice light under the knight this would highlight him in the scene a lot more. From my first glance I found it a bit hard to workout what is going on in the scene. Is he a giant suit of armour or is this the armoured mans workshop. Anyway some really cool elements right now so keep…
