I don't think it's only translucent, are you sure? In any other engine that should be a technique where it finds the distance of other meshes, and it outputs a float value, and then you can input that as a mask for opacity. -

You want to get rid of the edges that create that triangle. Your indents edges are so sharp though you would be better off just floating those indents. Save your self the trouble. -

nordahl154: I just made one diamond, and duplicated it around a circle. It is just stuck on the outside of a cylinder. It is a bit of a cheat, but I figured the piece was small enough it wouldn't even be noticeable that it is floating geo: -

Here's an update on the model. Textured the model and added a few small pieces on the side plates and on the top. Used floating geometry for the screws to dip in to make it a bit more understandable when connecting them to the crate. -

I made some changes to the model after some feedback from Polygoblin... Besides the obvious ones, there is a bit more floating geo for detais, also the magazine is kinda finished, but not in the shown images below :) -

definitely just a proposal being floated by someone who wanted their name in the papers. as i recall the fineprint for this was that it basically would require reciprocity. they're not going to introduce one-way legislation out of pity. ;) -

Thanks for the input guys! I did change a bit of the base but for my version of the model it is not really the base of the crate but of a carrier that floats above the ground for transportation. Keep the crits coming(sorry for the horrid handwriting) !
