Just an FYI for anyone having issues like this or just wanting to do a fresh/clean install of speedtree, go into the registry and navigate to the following location "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software" delete the folder called "IDV, Inc." and when you reopen speedtree it will recreate all of this again. They are the user pref's.…
Do you know of any videos like this ? I'm trying to follow this but when I have the paint layer nothing happens. I need the little circle that is half orange and a bit of green to go to the color ID for green. When I paint in the side ports folder which is green nothing happens
I cant get this to work either. I download the viewport cfg, put in my roaming config folder, go layout - Palettes - New Palette. A new blank window appears, then click on the little triangle and cant see Quixel Material VP in properties as above I am a dullard Thanks Piers
Or even better, put your images in your dropbox public folder, right click, copy public link, click on "insert image" her in a post and paste the link. People are less likely to comment on your work if they don't see directly the images on your post ( how lazy have we become ? ).
mudbox should store the ptex information also in uv based tif files. take a look into the folder saved beside your mudbox file. you shoudl be able to load those files onto your mesh... mudbox says there are no uvs on the mesh but there are uvs... you need to export the mesh as obj and reimport it...

hello im trying to export 3D Studio MAX objects to md3 models to use in gtkradiant. I simply downloaded a 3D object (a car) at 3dcafe and exported it using the Pop N Fresh md3 plugin. I put it in my \models\ folder but the model doesn't loads, in Radiant. Did i missed to do soemthing in 3D Studio MAX ? thanks for any help
I have max 2012 and the xoliul shader 2 installed. I read the instructions and the trouble shooting. I have the .fx files in the correct folders. I have nitrous disabled. I installed the shader in max running as an administrator and I can load up the shader just fine... but when i load a map in the shader i get these error…
Been a while since I've pimped some work so I figured it was time I got off my butt and did so. Nothing overly exciting unfortunately but its been fun modeling so far Will continue updating, hopefully it wont become yet another unfinished model in my wip folder heh. Hi guy's i have just got in to office and i have to work on this project with quixel, i have found tutorial about color id-maps so i want to install colors script in Maya 2017, but the color folder is missing, installation path is default. Any idea what is wrong :/
