@Khronos - Thank you dude! I need to add more stuff, i've been so busy since leaving Crytek and landing this new job, i've done tonnes of Art but almost none of it is stuff that I can show :(
It will be fine then - the problem is only if two bones share exact x,y & z values. You have the second influence set as label - I wonder if that's an issue? What if you set it to none? Or try some of the other options in there too.
Another cool suggestion, but that is just in relation to the mesh texture in world space. I was actually looking for something closer to the world camera position, but that was smart enough to essentially 'project' the texture as the player moves, if that makes any sense. So for instance, if I had 3 meshes next to each…
I use blender to create 3d models but I don't have graphic card to render my models, and I don't have money to effort new pc. So if there is any way to make money with my 3d model please help me. thank you
So is this what you all mean? Looks way better you are right. But I´m really wondering if this is a valid spec map, I´ve never done none of these before, so I´m a noob with this kind of spec maps... I´m sorry.
Hi. So I"ll just focus on the head, some I'm crap at anatomy otherwise, crap at head anatomy too, so take with a grain of salt Proportions: The proportions from the base of the nose to the bottom of the chin aren't quite right. I think maybe you should bring the jaw up, maybe keep the llips in place. The transition you…
I think the next thing everyone will have to get used to and adopt into the pipeline will be dynamic and even animated tessellation. I think its going to be difficult to pull off at first because there aren't many tools that allow artists to iterate quickly and test how things look. So the uses will be limited and…
There are free student versions of Maya, Max, etc. Use Google and specific relevant search terms. You can also email Autodesk. Blender is also free. You don't need to get into game engines right now, not until you get some 3D art done and ready to present/render. You can do both your fundamentals and non-fundmaental art at…
The skin feels a bit plasticy, you could probably tone down the spec. Also, I feel like if the big poofy material was bent that much it would have deeper/darker creases in the inside of the elbow (and likewise, none on the outside of the arm).
Daxter render, and a small breakdown at the bottom :) Still needs work, those teeth are almost done and then he can go off for rigging. I still need to fix small issues such as changing his eyes to blue (I thought he had brown eyes this whole time, turns out nope!), get rid of the line under his nose (not too sure about…
