Sorry I ignored this when it was posted on one of my items, I do that for all links in workshop comments, but I have done it now that you reached out through Polycount. Good luck with the endeavor. It is really cool that you are doing a thesis on this subject.
There's always a Workshop subforum just sitting there stagnating, if that'd be more to your liking. :) Could we add Nintendo to that list? They've really got the whole art thing down; both their promotional stuff and in-game stuff is always so damn nice looking.
I had a workshop 'handpainted texturing' at school from Mightypea? and as some of you wil notice it's the goblin from mop from his goblin sdk thread the scaffold, the pumkin and the shrooms are my props, the other props are from classmate's texturing is all mine

Latest submission: I haven't had a ton of time for workshopping recently so I decided to do something easy, like hair. Then I found out hair is not easy. Then I spent a ton of time on it and finally just submitted :) Hope you like:
- Save it for after I graduate and need money between school and job Unless you live rent free, in which case probably learning materials/workshop and student loan payments. Your comp sounds decent enough, so a laptop seems a waste.
haha I just realized you were in my workshop hahah you've come a long way =) The character is still off balance (too far forward) especially considering how small his feet are, there's no way he would be able to stand up
Alright, just placed it up on the workshop http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=683556595 I'm seeing a lot of skins that are simply paintings applied to the weapon so I think I'm going to try to do something like that for another submission too before the end. Good luck everyone!
I see this question on the dota forum pretty often, and I always remind everyone that there is a totally awesome, and relevant Dota 2 Tutorial Thread. It showcases a lot of techniques, tricks and tips that tons of the cool dota dudes use to make sweet items. Hope this helps, and start a workshop thread!! ;)
Here is mine, I still can't upload through the workshop tool T____T, that is the only thing left. The SDK just keeps crashing when I press "Upload"...sigh....I may fail the deadline thanks to that buggy tool, but anyway here it is, I have finished my piece.
