You could also mask by AO and then create a texture from masking. Though mask by AO always crashes for me for some reason. If that doesn't work you could try the same thing except with mask by cavity. -

thanks shadow with the exception of the solution to adam's building, that's exactly what I saw as soon as I posted the image and looked at it for a second. go me. brain cramps ftw... it just seemed to simple of a solution. queue the facepalm -

Love the idea. I would, however, consider making less of a dip on the boots. It seem to slowly shrink down as it reaches the toe, were in real boots, the foot generally keeps true, with the exception of a dip before the toe. -

Nice one BreakNeck. It all looks good to me except those iron crosses in the front look a little weird. It would be cool if you modeled more of the detail in your concept as well (other crosses and such) Keep at it! -

Seems to work fine, except for crashing when it can't make a quad out of a selection of faces. I can't say though, that it seems like a huge timesaver from my perspective, but it's certainly might be useful for some. -

Yeah, the cost of living in Orlando is extremely cheap. Of course compared to the Bay area anything is cheap. It really could be a win win situation. Well, except for the poor sobs that work 80 hour weeks without overtime. -
